Café 53 is located on popular Long Street in the heart of Tetbury, close to HRH Prince Charles' new HIGHROVE shop, and serves some of the best coffee in the area. We are open 7 days a week for food; infact, we are the only place where you can get a delicious meal throughout the day, every day of the week!!

We come highly recommeded and are a popular destination for tours before or after visits to local attractions such as Highgrove House, Westonbirt Arboretum, The Highrove Shop (on Long Street in Tetbury) and the largest cluster of antique shops that Tetbury is famous for.

The interior of the cafe is welcoming from the antique black and white tessellated tiled floor to the shabby-chic furniture and assorted decoration.

The Café staff are very capable, with an imaginative chef who strives to serve distinctive, good value specials that vary daily. Our food is homemade using quality ingredients.


Typical Menu

Soups - served with bread and butter 
      Tomato & Basil Soup (V) 
      Beef Goulash Soup
Chicken liver paté - with homemade chutney, French bread and roasted peppers.
Linguine al pesto - classic pasta dish with fresh homemade pesto and shavings of parmesan. (v)
Butternut squash & rosemary risotto - drizzled with a red wine syrup. (v)
Warm bacon avocado salad - warm streaky bacon, avocado with mixed
leaves and balsamic syrup (avocados permitting!)
Smoked chicken salad - served on a bed of mixed crisp leaf salad with a
homemeade dressing. 
Ham, egg and chips - homecooked ham served with local free range eggs.
Baked goats cheese - on toasted croute with mixed leaves, roasted peppers, sun blushed tomatoes, olives, toasted pine nuts and balsamic syrup. (V) 
53 steakburger - local prime minced rump with melted mozzarella, tomato, gherkin and mustard mayo, served with French fries and salad garnish.

 

Bagels :Ancient Greek - Feta cheese, tomato, red onion and olives

 Farmhouse - Ham, goats cheese, tomato and chutney 
 Classic - Smoked salmon, cream cheese, lemon and chives 

BLT - with lettuce, tomato and cream cheese



Paninis :Bistro - Bacon and brie

 Roma - Tomato, mozzarella and basil 
 Mediterranean - Roasted peppers, mozzarella and olives 
 

Mushroom - with garlic and mozzarella. (v)
